Meet Kiyoko
Kiyoko has had the privilege to follow a winding path to OT and pelvic health. Starting out with a passion for music and theatre, they studied acting and musical theatre and performed at the college and professional levels. After a stint in NYC, they followed the path back to the West Coast for a yoga teacher training. Through teaching yoga to all ages and bodies, their awareness of adaptive movement and the mind-body connection grew. Several post-bacc classes later, they started an OT program at Pacific University in Oregon. Kiyoko eventually obtained a clinical doctorate in Occupational Therapy and a Masters in Healthcare Administration.
Kiyoko is dedicated to the liberation and healing of all bodies, and supports clients from a trauma-informed perspective. She has taken several pelvic health education courses through Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute and The Functional Pelvis with Lindsey Vestal. She completed the inaugural Trauma Informed Pelvic Health Practitioner Certification with Lindsey Vestal and Lara Desrosiers.
Lately, Kiyoko has enjoyed cultivating new hobbies such as sewing, sashiko, and quilting! You might also find them wandering one of the many PDX parks admiring the shifts in the seasons.

About Us
The topic of pelvic health is vulnerable. As we grow up, most of us are taught very little about the functions of the pelvic organs and muscles. What we do learn–the language, imagery, and expectations–are often layered with shame and confusion. It’s not surprising at all that most people struggle to find help when pelvic issues arise.
Unfortunately, finding trauma-informed, supportive pelvic health therapy isn’t easy. We all want to be seen, heard, and believed. Power to the Pelvis originated out of the idea that in order to heal, we must first be seen as dimensional and complex individuals.
We look forward to supporting you in your healing journey.
